Cosy up in our beautiful snug and create a stunning wreath for your door. There’s something so perfectly Christmassy about our 17th Century country pub at this time of year…coupled with the warm glow of candlelight and the soundtrack of our relaxing Christmas playlist, it’s a highlight of the Christmas period, for sure. We’re very lucky to see many of the same faces returning each year & we’re so looking forward to sharing a few creative evenings with you all (in the warmth!).🕯️🌲

All materials and tools included; plus mince pies, mulled wine (or an alternative hot drink or prosecco!) on arrival.

Some seasoned creatives even stretch out the evening by booking in for an early dinner by the fire beforehand! 🔥

Mrs Claus is visiting The Old Thatch this festive season! Enjoy a magical morning of stories by the fire with Mrs Claus! Stories start at 9.30am, and your ticket includes a hot chocolate and a biscuit for each child.

Learn to craft your very own wreath for the Christmas period! Join us at The Old Thatch for one of our wreath making sessions in the Snug! Learn to and make your very own wreath to take home for the festive season with our expert team of wreath makers!

Last week at this years Dorset Tourism, we eagerly sat and awaited as we would finally find out if we were to win this years “Pub of the Year” or if we’d fall short another year and settle for silver… 🏆

But we’re the Old Thatch and we’re always striving to be the best we and ya know what? It paid off…😱

We won. Gold. First place. Officially best pub in Dorset! 🥇
